A few bumps and a potential lawsuit

Just a quickie as we wait for our delayed flight to Bordeaux through Amsterdam. Started with a bit of a traffic jam but made it to the airport in plenty of time. Then a long wait in line to check in and got our boarding passes. Our tour info said it was Air France but it was actually KLM (the Dutch airline). The Van Lieshout sisters rejoiced. But as we were being pushed back from the gate and the flight attendants were about to explain how to work your seatbelts, suddenly there was a huge jolt and we stopped short. Turns out the push bar had broken, and we were rolling backwards across the taxi-way. The pilot had to apply the parking brake to stop us. Yikes!

We reached Amsterdam a bit late and took a long bus ride to the airport. Six hour layover so we had a beer and a lot of laughs. On the way to Julie’s free airport lounge, a man driving a golf cart hauling 3 garbage bins came flying by. Nick, Julie and Sue all saw him and stopped to let him pass. Mary was not so lucky. She was looking at the Lego store and the bins ran right into her, bruising her arm. He did not even stop - just raced off. It could have been much worse but we reported him to the first airport security employee we saw. Mary continues to weigh her legal options. We got to the gate and learned the flight to Bordeaux is delayed. Amsterdam is a HUGE airport but we’re finally close to gate & boarding. Great times ahead.
